Debt Bond and Note investors in USA Companies look closely at the credit ratings from NRSROs such as Moody's and S&P and Fitch.

I am working on developing a New Credit Rating Agency for equity in USA publicly traded stocks.  It is my belief that investors and their advisors take excessive risks purchasing stocks because they look primarily at price and value and do not consider the underlying credit quality of the companies they own in their portfolios.  Unlike Debt in the form of Bonds and Notes, since Equity is the lowest form in the capital structure of companies, corporate bankruptcy in the majority of cases wipes out all of the investor's money.

Since the majority of Stock investors do not have extensive experience in understand Bond Rating Agencies' lettering systems, I have also created a simple to understand rating system based on something very familiar to everyone in the USA; our High School Grading System.
